There is no such thing as a ‘working’ or ‘non-working’ mother, because as a mother, she is tirelessly available with open arms and a tender heart. So this Mother’s day, we received a day-off for being an awesome mother from OYO Homes – a stay at Exotic Farm Cottages in Manesar.
OYO Homes is a great venture by OYO Hotels & Rooms wherein they tap into second houses and rental properties which are mostly unoccupied and serve them to travellers as a stay option. These places are essentially for people who like to have a homely comfort in their journey and not super luxury spaces. Professional housekeeping and maintenance, learned hospitality teams work on these places to ensure that travellers enjoy a hassle less stay.
To experience this, a chauffeur arrived early morning to pick us up and we reached this serene place where lush green beauty which had grown just after spring kissed our eyes. The place is a blend of comfortable stay with a cultural feel of a village. You find astounding greenery, trees and shrubs outside accentuated with swings and khats whilst not lacking the amenities like parking, TV and even CCTV security.
The place gave us infinite memories with our little one who made the most of the place. Living in cities and hotels restricts the kid from doing certain things while options like these provide an open field for kids to play and run while giving a fresh breath of air to the older ones, away from the ever crowded noisy city.
The Farm has 20 beautifully built cottages which provide a traditional village feel. The mud-like walls, coloured windows with bamboo blinds, big coloured doors with wooden fasteners, add a strong rustic flavour to the rooms. Who doesn’t dream of living in a cottage once while not missing out on the essentials like proper baths and ACs.
We spent our time at leisure – going around the property, our kid enjoyed the pond with fishes, tubewells, in-house vegetation and crops. The soothing nature all around kept us all day outside the room. A perfect day spent with the family – a break from routine and solitude for us to release tensions from our minds.
A happy heart needs good food too. We had our meals at their kitchen. The lunch spread had Chilli Chicken with Chicken Curry and breads while the dinner was more of a authentic village style Tandoori Chicken and Mutton curry with breads.
The place can easily be reached by a few hours of drive from Delhi and nearby areas. One can easily plan a day or two at this place with kids and even parents and grandparents as this place has a thing for each family member – playing fields for kids, soothing promenades for grown-ups to lighten the moods and tensed nerves and sitting areas for the older citizens to enjoy simple basking in the son.
We have already planned our next stay here for the coming week. You should do it super soon too!
