Being given the moniker of ‘dessert king’, he conjured a two course meal including a salad and a dessert, at a masterclass held on 15th February, 2017.
The session was quite interactive as the chef talked about using various combinations of ingredients to whip up an impressive set of dishes. Owing to the host city’s rich culinary history, the starter was named ‘Agra Petha Savory Salad’. Incorporating the desi petha into a lettuce dominated dish was quite a unique concept. The dessert, ‘Shahi Tukra Summer Pudding’ again brought together two distinct cuisines in a harmonious blend of flavours. The entire session was a gastronomic treat for the attendees.
Chef Dinesh Patel’s finesse was visible in the way he kept his audience engaged through lively interactions and the eclectic combination of ingredients. Inspired by his grandmother’s cooking, he spoke about his journey into the world of food. Executive Director Alka Ladhani applauded the chef on his skills and was genially welcoming to all the guests. Soaking in the beautiful ambience and scrumptious food, this brief getaway was an utter delight.
